A decision is made. Too bad Mommy won that round!

Kids & Cats Playin . . .

Ellie is finally big enough for her Ellie-Jump-Up. She hasn't quite figured out that when she kicks she bounces. But she will soon . . . she's a genius remember.
Chewy thought the box was an even better toy.

And Ellie thought Chewy was hilarious.

3 cheers for Gramma

Drew had to go away on business this week . . .
So Gramma came out for a visit.

We gave Ellie a bath in her big girl tub!

And went for a walk around the neighborhood.

Story Time

Stinky Baby???

Whose the stinky baby?

Look what I can do!

Ellie is SOOO big. Look at all her recent accomplishments.

She can sit up in her Bumbo chair from Gramma and Grampa
She pulls her legs up and wiggles from side to side. She might just learn to roll over if we ever put her down!
She is discovering her hands . . . they are so interesting.

Soooo Big!

Look at this! Her foot is as long as my finger!!

And look at those chubby elbows.

The Big Question

The big question on my mind of late is . . . Is Ellie turning into a real mama's girl???
Last week she started to realize that there is . . . mum . . . and then there is . . . everyone else!
She fussed when anyone would hold her. And this is such a switch from her normal, remember just the weekend before we were in Napa and she was passed around and held all weekend.
Hmmmm . . . what could this change be??
She did seem to get a little better after a few days so maybe it was a growth spurt. Hopefully it's just a phase and will continue to be our mellow baby.

More Family Fun

What a wonderful family we have! So many people to love and hold Ellie. She really is so lucky!
Auntie Dena is the master swaddler. ALL the babies in our family have been bundled up so tight and rocked and shushed in this same way. Ellie fell right asleep just like her cousins before her.

Bath time is Auntie Marilyn's kitchen sink. Ellie looks like she is unsure if soapy fingers taste good.

All her many admirers . . . Jim and Connie stopped by to meet Ellie. Luckily, she was in a better mood that day and let people hold her!

Ellie looks so happy with Connie and doesn't she look cute in this outfit! Clothes from Sherrie and socks from Marie.

Ellie really seemed to take to my cousin Melissa, now known as Auntie Melissa. She didn't seem to fuss as much when Melissa changed her clothes and she smiled when she came in the room.

Family from up north . . .

We arrived to Campbell River on Tuesday to awaiting family.  Everyone was so happy to meet Ellie and give her a snuggle.  She has been a little fussy the last few days and we have all been pondering why that could be . . . lots of travel, gas, teething   ???  Who knows.  Oh well, she seems to be mellowing out today, thank goodness.
Auntie Marilyn and her grand-neice.
Cousin Brent said he didn't like to hold babys but Ellie sure liked him.

Ellie LOVES her cousin Melissa.  She smiles every time she walks in the room.

Auntie Dena has come over lots to get her baby fix.

Ellie looks so cute her dress with Auntie Loreen

Hanging out at Gramma and Grampa's

Ellie was sure happy to see her Gramma and Grampa.
Gramma and Daddy star-gazing.

Such a cute outfit from our doula (and friend), Jennifer.

Ellie loves Grampa's beard.

Such a cute sweater from Gramma and Grampa's neighbors, Kathleen and Glen! Looks like Ellie likes it too.

Blue Eyed Babes

Everyone says Ellie has my eyes but they are sure the same color as Drew's!!

She's a bird!!!

Yep, it's a fact . . . Ellie loves to fly, just like her great-grandpa Vic.
This was her 5th flight in her first 3 months of life and once again she was an angel. But instead of sleeping like she usually does she was awake and happy the whole trip.
