How to summarize such an epic holiday??!!
And really, that's what it was - an EPIC holiday!
How many families get to go to Hawaii . . . with 2 dozen of their best friends.
It feels as though we were anticipating this holiday for years. And when Quinn proposed to Kei over a year ago we knew our Hawaiian adventure was finally close!
The first 2 nights we stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki. Beautiful grounds but a little too touristy for us. Plus the weather the TERRIBLE!

But as you can see from my eyebrow - I was NOT happy.
Nothing a little vitamin D wouldn't fix.

WHOHOOOOOOOO!! The first time we saw the sun. Beautiful sunset over Diamond Head.
The first day in our mansion of a house in Hawaii Kai we headed to the beach. The water was so turquoise the kids were in awe!
Ellie is a beach bum! She stayed in the water the entire time we were at any beach. She even got up the courage to let us take her over the break and float as the waves rolled in. It was so good to see her enjoy the beach and ocean as much as Drew and I do!
As you can see - Jude was pretty happy too!

The house we rented with 3 other families was the hub of the vacation. It was in the perfect location - 20 minutes from Waikiki, 20 minutes from our favorite beaches and close to Kei's parents house.
It had a pool and was right on canal stocked with canoes and stand-up paddle boards.
I guess the 100 hours (literally) Blythe and I spent researching the perfect house really did pay off!

Just like every other tourist we asked ourselves - "Why don't we move here!!"

Silly tourist traps are sometimes fun! A funny guy with parrots accessorized Drew and Ellie! I was so impressed Ellie let a parrot stand on her head!

But one of the highlights for me was the talent show the kids put on. They worked on their plans all day and gathered all the adults in the living room. Livi was a perfect MC and we were treated to a hula performance, a rendition of the Frozen song "Let it Go" and other silly 'talent' skits.
I remember putting on talent shows with cousins as a kid and I love to see the kids making these memories!

On our trip to the North Shore we stopped at Waimea Canyon and did the .5 mile hike to Waimea falls. The falls were pretty mucky but the walk through the jungle was beautiful!

Our last night we all met for a sunset swim at Kaimana beach.
Beautiful way to end a practically perfect holiday!
Ellie and Jude have asked everyday since we've been home . . . How many days till Hawaii?
