Ellie the Wood-Block

This is Ellie's favorite game!! Daddy taps her nose, chin and cheeks and makes a sound like a wood block. She just thinks it's hilarious.

Snow Day!!

We woke up to 2 inches of snow today! Since Ellis is still too young to go sledding we don't have a new pic to post.

But my friend Jenny sent these cute photos she took when we were back home. I love how she antiqued them on the computer. Thanks Jenny!

Ellie-Jump-Up

This week Ellie has learned how to stand up straight while being held. She definitely needs support for balance but her legs are SO strong. And now she's decided standing is way more fun than sitting.
We decided to try out her Johnny-Jump-Up (even though it says for 4 months and up).
Well, she was a little unsure about the whole thing. She gave it a few bounces but her head control isn't quite good enough yet. Guess we will put it away and try it again in a few more weeks.
She sure looks cute though.

Shake it

So many changes this week! Ellie is really starting to hold onto things. Here she is with her rattle made specially for her by Grandpa Jon.
We also bought her a fish tank for her crib. It plays soft music, bubbles and has little swimming fishys. Her crib is such a happy place, hopefully, she will decide to sleep in it for longer than 15 minutes at a time :)

Baby Love

Daddy and Ellie having a chat.

What are these kind of kisses called? Eskimo? Oh well, they sure are a cute pair!

Kisses from Mommy.

Ellie thinks her Daddy is sooo funny.

Rock on, Dad.

Violet Eyes!!!

When Ellie was born her eyes were a dark slate blue but since newborns eyes often change color we have been waiting impatiently to see what color they turn out to be.
Drew has bright light blue eyes and mine are green.
So far Ellie's are VIOLET. The prettiest shade of purple-y blue.

Shhhh . . .

Ellie actually laid down in her crib for the first time this week!!
She has been sleeping in her bouncy chair, in the co-sleeper or in bed with us and her crib has been a clothing storage unit. But after cleaning up her room I decided to see if she would nap in it.
She seems to like it! Today she slept in it for 40 minutes! We have a little mirror hanging on the side and when I heard her cooing, I went in and discovered she was laughing at herself.
